The North Gwinnett Cooperative provides food, clothing, financial assistance and spiritual support to residents of Buford, Suwanee and Sugar Hill, Georgia.

Services Provided:

(Applicants must qualify to receive assistance. See below for instructions on how to apply.)

• Bread and bakery goods – Available to each household on a weekly basis
• Groceries – Available once every 60 days per household ( for Senior Citizens ( 60+) twice per month )
• Financial assistance is available on a first come, first serve basis and is available once per year per household. We do not set up appointments. WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY MORNINGS ONLY.  NO FINANCIAL MONDAY EVENING!!
• Utilities, including gas, electric and water. We’re sorry, we cannot assist with phone bills, utility deposits or re-connect fees
• Prescription medication - Non-narcotic medication only
• Emergency assistance for other needs may be available under extreme circumstances.
• Community Thrift Store – The Co-op operates a community thrift store that offers children’s and adult clothing, toys, shoes, bedding, small household appliances and other miscellaneous items. The thrift store is open to the public.

To Qualify for Assistance you must:

• Live in Buford, Suwanee, or Sugar Hill, GA
• Have a Georgia state photo ID
• Provide proof of residency (UTILITY BILL DATED WITHIN THE LAST 30 DAYS)
• Social Security cards for adults, birth certificates or Social Security cards for children in the home.
• Provide proof of income for every member of your household that receives income. This includes - Wages, Food Stamps, Child support, TANF, Social Security, Disability or any other income you may receive.
