History:
The
North Gwinnett Cooperative was formed in 1991 as a ministry that provides
food, clothing, financial assistance and spiritual support to those
in need in the
Buford, Suwanee, and Sugar Hill communities.
Originally formed by Sugar Hill
United Methodist Church in 1991, the ministry is now supported by additional
congregations, area businesses, civic organizations and individuals who generously
donate food, clothing, and financial resources.
In
2007 we:
• Provided food and financial assistance to more than 10,600 individuals
• Provided Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to over 1,200 individuals
• Helped provide more
than 1,000 children with toys for Christmas
• Provided winter coats
to over 200 people
• Raised more than $9,100
from thrift store sales that went back out into the community. |
