The North Gwinnett Coop is wholly dependent on financial and in-kind donations to provide assistance to those in our community who are in need. Assistance is received from many different sources including churches, corporate business partners, grants, civic and community organizations, schools, and individuals and families.
If you are interested in supporting the North Gwinnett Coop, here are a few ways you can help:
• Organize a donation drive in your neighborhood, work place, school, or community organization. Collection of food, clothing, Christmas toys, and toiletries are always needed. Call 770-271-9793 for information on specific items needed at the time of your drive.
• Volunteer Opportunities are available for individuals and groups. Volunteers must be at least 10 years of age; anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Small groups of 5 or less work best, but we like all group sizes so if you have a large group, call ahead to make arrangements.
Our organization is run completely by volunteers so there are several opportunities to participate:
• Work in the food pantry or thrift store
• Cleaning & maintenance
• Yard work
• Administrative assistance
• Sorting & stocking donations
• Encourage your church or organization to become a supporting partner of the Coop through regular financial and/or in-kind donations.
• Make a financial contribution. North Gwinnett Coop is a non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.
