The North Gwinnett Cooperative was formed in 1991 as a ministry that provides food, clothing, financial assistance and spiritual support to those in need in the Buford, Suwanee, and Sugar Hill communities.

Originally formed by Sugar Hill United Methodist Church in 1991, the ministry is now supported by additional congregations, area businesses, civic organizations, schools and individuals who generously donate food, clothing, and financial resources.

In 2008 we

• Provided food and financial services to more than 14,225 people
• Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to more than 300 families,
• Winter coats and clothing to more than 1200 people,
• Gave new school supplies/backpacks to more than 100 children
• Raised almost $12,000.00 in our Thrift Store

In 2009 we

•         Provided food and financial services to more than 16,300 people
•         Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to more than 320 families
•         Winter Coats and clothing to more than 1400 people
•         Raised almost $13,000 in our Thrift Store
